ABOUT THE PROJECT

A Rotary Club Project

THE PROJECT

To Build a 20 - 24 bed Hospice in Kathmandu

Project Hospice Nepal is a Rotary Club led project with the fundraising campaign outside of Nepal having been initiated by the Rotary Club of Fairfield in New Zealand. Those involved are Rotarians and Medical practitioners who come from across the globe spanning a variety of backgrounds and with a strong medical influence from both the commercial and voluntary sector.
With the current demand for palliative care in Nepal outstripping the capacity of the current eight-bed hospice, there is an urgent need to expand Hospice Nepal to a capacity of 20-24 beds for both adults and children together with the provision for health care training and the expansion of the current outreach programmes into rural areas.
